The Challenge: Christmas shutdown
Towards the end of December a major automotive manufacturer found their new-year production plan short of essential parts. With their regular transport provider closed for the Christmas holidays and unable to collect the extra stock.
The Solution: Delivering 365 days a year
At very short notice, NEXTDAY FREIGHT sourced six artic trucks and trailers to collect from the Czech Republic on 28 December for direct delivery into the UK plant on 2 January
While all trucks were GPS tracked from collection through to delivery, their journey was planned around the European holiday driving bans to ensure arrival for the start of new-year production. NEXTDAY FREIGHT are available 365 days a year so were able to send regular updates to the customer throughout the holiday. Happily, production was maintained into the new-year.
